I'm particularly fond of the attention that this Chinaman is giving in this candid portrait to the rehearsal for the chinese new year celebrations in Bangkok Chinatown, I could easily of banged him in the nose with the 50mm and it wouldn't of averted his gaze.

The reason is all too clear in the inset to the bottom right of the portrait. The evening was just bleeding with colour in an acrid soup of incence and food stalls, all mixed together in a big bowl of humidity, which had to make those gold catsuits somewhat more uncomfortable than the girls smiles suggest.
